About Our Country

I live in a teeny weeny little country called Maldives. I know that most you guys know what it is. There may be a guy or 2 who might want to know a little bit more the name itself. We live in a country which might have been inhabited by man for more that 7000 years. We live in little islands made up of coral like you find in the great barrier reef. These islands made up closed chains several islands round, called atolls. There are about 20 such atolls and around a thousand islands, of which only about 200 islands are inhabited. Maldives is situated in the Indian ocean about 400 kilo meters south of India. Maldivians are all officially Muslims, and there are more than 360,000 people. And most importantly Maldives is a popular tourist destination, popular for its clear waters and all year round sun and white white sandy beaches. For more, just google.
